Synopsis:
What do you do when the guy you’re in love with is seeing someone else?

That’s the dilemma facing Paige Taylor. All of her life she’s only ever had eyes for the gorgeous Alec Wright, but despite their undeniable chemistry, their timing has always been off. Fast approaching her thirtieth birthday, Paige despairs of ever finding love and a happy ever after. Her best friend Poppie tells her that she can either watch life pass her by, or grab it with both hands. She convinces Paige to throw herself back into the dating pool, or she could be waiting for Alec forever.

What Paige didn’t expect was the catalogue of dating disasters to follow. A neck brace, jellyfish, stitches, flashing and an encounter with a gorilla were some of the most memorable. Despite some downright hilarious, humiliating and cringe worthy dates, her biological clock is ticking and Paige is determined to keep trying until she finds the one. Was Alec Wright always her Mr. Right, or is he still out there waiting to be found?

Join Paige in her quest to find the ultimate prize. Love.

My Review:
Charlotte Fallowfield is a new author to me so I wasn't sure what to expect. But I was in the mood for a comedy, so when I got the chance to review the book, I decided to give it a chance. As I whole, I quite enjoyed it. The story is interesting and the characters are entertaining and intriguing. In addition to the romance and sometimes hot scenes, there are also quite a few funny moments that will leave you crying from laughter :)

As a whole, the story for me had somewhat of a slow build. I couldn't exactly connect with the characters in the first half of the book. The humour was not exactly my type and the story, though interesting, was just not exactly what I needed. The reason might be that the characters are portrayed as quite young but I just couldn't connect with them.

The second half of the was definitely much better for me. Though it is mainly humorous, there are few heartbreaking scenes that create a nice balance with the rest of the story. I quite liked Paige with her quirky personality and somewhat klutzy disposition :D She is fun and I quite liked the idea that she's been in love with the same guy since she was a teenager. Unfortunately, every time she crosses paths with Alec, it is never the right moment for them to be together. And I have to confess that probably one of my all time favorite scenes is the one when they finally find their HEA :) Such a romantic scene :) And I think it will look great in a movie ;)

So in a few words, this is a fun and relaxing read, perfect for the times when you need a book to take you away from your everyday life. It will make you laugh and feel for the characters and I am pretty sure you will fall in love with them :) So pick up your copy and find out what happens with Paige and Alec :)
